  • What should I put my dirty laundry in?
    We provide a complimentary Renu Laundry bag that holds up to 20-30 pounds for our recurring customers. Additional bags are available for purchase. If it’s your first order or if you have extra laundry that you need picked up, any cinchable bag will work. A simple trash bag works just fine. The driver will take care of any labeling or tagging of the bags when picked up. Please do not use open laundry baskets or laundry hampers. Only cinchable bags can be accepted to insure each order is kept separate and secure.
  • What is an “average” weekly laundry order?
    For a family of 4-5, an average is approximately 40-45 lbs per week. To estimate before we pick-up your laundry, simply place your hamper on your home scale to get an idea of the weight. We will weigh your order with our Trade Certified Scale and you will be emailed a detailed receipt upon order completion.
  • How much does it cost?
    Our pick and delivery laundry service charges by the pound for most laundry. Click here for residential service page which has both the per pound items and any per piece item cots.   • Are there additional costs for large items?
    Yes, larger items are charged on a per item basis. We charge extra for these items because they require washing and drying that is separate from the rest of your order. Comforters in particular take several hours to dry on air-only setting, which is why it is industry standard to charge them at a higher rate. Primarily, these items include: Comforters, quilt bedding, mattress pads, duvet cover/blankets, bath mats, sheets or tablecloths. See our prices for specific items here for residential service.   • Can I send my own hangers?
    Sure. We will ensure your hanging items are returned back to you on your own hangers! If personal hangers are not sent in, we will provide wire hangers at NO additional cost.
  • What can I expect for my first laundry service?
    On the day of your scheduled pickup, our driver will arrive in the scheduled window of time. Have your items ready in a bag of your choice (garbage bags, reusable, etc.) Please separate any stained items or items that need special care into a separate bag with instructions. We are not able to read individual label washing instructions. We do not iron. Make sure to double-check your pockets! Renu Laundry is NOT responsible for items lost in the wash or damaged if left in pockets (chapstick, crayons, markers, pens, keys, earbuds, lipstick, gum, etc). Our drivers will pick up your bags, label them, and bring them to the laundry facility. A Certified Laundry Pro will wash and dry each customer’s clothes separately, using your specific laundry preferences and choices including detergents, softeners and fold/hang preferences. Your clothing will not be intermingled with any other client. On the next day, your driver will bring everything back to you during your confirmed delivery time frame. A text message/email will be sent when your clothes are en route and again, once your delivery has been made.
  • When will my order be returned?
    Your order will be returned based on the scheduled time frame on the day after pickup. We recommend opening your bagged items ASAP to ensure satisfaction. This is especially important for duvets and down comforters.
  • Will my clothes be washed with other people's clothes?
    Never! Each customer's laundry is washed and dried separately, using your specific laundry preferences and choices including detergents, softeners and fold/hang preferences. We do not integrate client clothing to save us time or money. Your clothes are too important.
  • Do I need to sort my items, such as dark from lights and whites?
    No. You don’t have to sort. Leave the sorting to our Certified Laundry Pros!
  • Does Renu Laundry check pockets?
    With the volume of customer orders we process, our launderers are unable to check every pocket. Renu Laundry is not responsible for items that are lost in the wash or damaged due to items left in pockets (crayons, earbuds, pens, markers, chapstick, lipstick, gum, etc.) Please make sure to check your pockets prior to bagging.
  • Does Renu Laundry read label instructions?
    Due to the volume of customer orders, we are not able to read individual label washing instructions. If you have items needing special care, please bag them separately and include instructions for our Laundry Pros when placing the order.
  • Can you do stain removal?
    We do light stain removal. Please place all stained clothing in a separate bag and let us know by including a note in the bag or on your laundry profile. We’ll do our best to get it out using tried and true stain removal techniques. It is very useful to know the exact source of each stain, since the best treatment will vary by the type of stain and the fabric type. While we’re usually successful at removing stains, we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to get it out. If you are able to pretreat the stains prior to putting the garment in the bag, it will increase the odds of success.
  • How do I give you special instructions?
    There is a place during the order process you can choose your laundry preferences. We have provided a specific place to type in special notes for your order. If you have bagged your "special" items separately, you can also place a note in the bag.
  • Can I send our undergarments?
    Of course! You may send all clothing that is machine washable. Clients that prefer to keep their undergarments more private may send them inside a mesh bag. We will wash, dry & return undergarments in your mesh bag.
  • How are my whites washed?
    We recommend OxiClean on all whites, but its up to you to choose which add-ons you would like when placing an order. Please let us know if you have specific instructions and we will do our best to oblige.
  • Do you Air-Dry items?
    We do not offer Air-Dry at this time. We will run a delicate dry low heat cycle if requested.
  • Do you iron?
    We do not currently offer ironing or pressing.
  • Where should my order be picked up or delivered?
    Your pickup/drop off location should be a safe and secure space where you feel comfortable leaving your personal items. While this is different for everyone, customers often leave their orders by their front door, on their porch, or inside a secure, gated area. Please note that our drivers are not allowed to enter privately owned spaces or residences (even with permission). Due to insurance risk, they are not allowed to enter your home, apartment, car, garage, etc. Please keep in mind the weather and choose your pickup/drop off location wisely.
  • What if I forgot to set my laundry out for my scheduled pickup?
    We understand that "stuff happens." To prevent this from happening, we send email and text reminders to make sure you don’t forget. Please be sure to add us as a contact so we are not blocked or sent to junk mail. To compensate your driver’s time, there will be a $10 missed pickup fee. We can reschedule the pickup for another day which is available on the driver's route or depending on the time, we may be able to return later that day. Call us at 651-337-4153 and we’ll do our best to get back to you quickly.
  • What will be returned on hangers?
    It is our routine to hang collared shirts, button-up shirts, dresses, some hooded sweatshirts, blouses, sweaters and slacks/dress pants. If you have a request for something else to be placed on a hanger, just let us know. If you’d like us to use your personal hangers, please send them in a separate bag as to not damage your clothes.
  • Do you offer dry cleaning services?
    Not at this time.
  • How do I get a Renu Laundry bag?
    We provide a complimentary Renu Laundry bag that holds approximately 25-30 pounds for our recurring customers. If it’s your first order or if you have extra laundry that you need picked up, any cinchable bag will work. A simple trash bag works just fine. Additional bags are available for purchase and can be added within the order process.
  • Is there a minimum charge?
    Yes, see our current pricing here for residential service.
  • What happens if my credit card expired or declines?
    Credit cards are authorized during the placing of your order and are only charged once your order is completed (based on the final order weight.) If the credit card is declined (expired, lost, account closed, or insufficient funds), your order is held in the pre-delivery phase, and you will be notified. You can update your payment info by accessing your account or calling us. Once your payment has been received, your order will be delivered within 24 hours.
  • Am I supposed to weigh my items before pickup?
    No, we will do that for you. If you want to estimate cost, you can certainly use your scale by weighing the laundry bag and then weighing yourself while holding the laundry bag. However, all scales are a bit different and thus this would only be a rough estimate. The true weight of your clothing is determined after it has been washed and dried using our trade certified scale.
  • What detergent and fabric softeners do you use?
    We offer a variety of choices to accommodate all preferences. Included with your per pound service is an a fresh scent detergent. We also have several upgraded detergents and options available which you can choose while placing your order.   • Do I need to be home when my laundry is picked up or delivered?
    You can choose to leave your laundry in a secure location such as your front or back porch. Please note that laundry left unattended is at your own risk.
  • Are there items Renu Laundry doesn’t clean?
    At this time, there are a handful of items that we cannot accept for cleaning due to the nature of the item or the risk they may pose to our team. We cannot accept the following items for cleaning: Certain non-clothing items (These specific non-clothing items often require a specialized cleaning process that we are not equipped to provide as clothing care experts): Pillows Curtains Commercial linens Sofa covers Rugs (bath rugs are the exception) Sleeping bags Contaminated items (We cannot accept items that may pose a risk to the safety of our team and/or the items of other customers cleaned in the same facility.) These include items that have been contaminated with: Bodily fluids from a human or pet Excessive pet hair Moisture if the item is still wet or damp Mildew Bedbugs Poison ivy or poison oak oils Hazardous chemical residue Specialty care clothing items (These clothing items require specialty care that falls outside of our area of expertise): Wedding dresses Vintage clothes (in some cases) Costumes Hats/Headwear Shoes Fur & animal products (feathers, fur coats) Purses/handbags
  • My pet sheds a lot or has urinated on my items, will you launder those items? What about heavy soiled?
    To provide every client a great experience, we have found washing items with excessive pet hair or soiled items adds additional labor and resources to our process. Because of this, we charge a pet hair charge/heavily soiled charge per pound. Pet beds, blankets the dogs sleep on, excessive cat hair, these require cleaning of our equipment after each wash. Heavily soiled items include clothes from certain professions such as mechanics, builders, landscapers, dairy, farming that may be have extra heavy dirt, grime, oil, etc. See our prices for pet hair charge/heavily soiled charge per pound here on residential service page which has both the per pound items and any per piece item costs.
  • Where will you put my hanging items if I’m not home?
    If you have a wreath hanger on your front door, we will hang your clothes there. Otherwise we will carefully drape your hanging items over your bagged folded clothes. Both your hanging items and the folded items will be protected in plastic garment bags.
  • Do you require any contract or long-term commitment?
    No, you are in control of placing your orders as you need. We work hard to ensure you’ll love Renu Laundry by delivering quality service at every step. We want to earn your trust, referrals, and next order from you. Thank you! We are grateful for you.
  • What are your terms and conditions of service?
    When scheduling services with Renu Laundry, you agree to the following terms and conditions: Clothes are machine washable: Your items can be washed with water, on a normal washing cycle, and tumble-dried in a dryer. Renu Laundry is not responsible for damage to any clothing and laundry articles that are not able to go through this washing routine. NOTE: We do not read each clothing tag to see how it is recommended to be washed. Damaged Items: Renu Laundry cannot assume responsibility for weaknesses or defects in materials which may result in tears or development of small holes in fabric that are not readily apparent prior to washing. Renu Laundry cannot guarantee against color loss, color bleeding, shrinkage, or against damage to weak and tender fabrics, or against damage to ancillary items such as belts, buttons, beads, ties or zipper pulls. Renu Laundry’s liability with respect to any damaged items shall not exceed three (3) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition. Prior to bagging your laundry, please check all pockets! Renu Laundry is not responsible for items lost in the wash or laundry damaged by something left in your pocket (Chapstick, crayons, earbuds, markers, pen, lipstick, gum, etc.) We do our best to check pockets, but we expect clothing to be sent with no items left in the pockets. Any damaged items must be reported by calling Renu Laundry or emailing support@renulaundry.com within 5 business days. Damaged items may be requested to be returned to Renu Laundry for inspection. Contaminated items: We cannot accept items that may pose a risk to the safety of our team and/or the items of other customers cleaned in the same facility. These include items that have been contaminated with: Bodily fluids from a human or pet Excessive pet hair Moisture if the item is still wet or damp Mildew Bedbugs Poison ivy or poison oak oils Hazardous chemical residue Lost items: Lost items must be reported by calling Renu Laundry or emailing support@renulaundry.com within 5 business days. Renu Laundry will make its best reasonable effort to track the missing article. Any items determined to have been lost by Renu Laundry will be replaced. If we are unable to find a replacement, we will reimburse. Items will be considered lost 30 days after the initial claim is filed. Pickup/Drop off location: When using our pickup and delivery service, Renu Laundry is not responsible for your items before they are picked up or after they are dropped off. A text message is sent when we are en route and once the items are picked up and delivered. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your items. Dry Cleaning: Please ensure that there are no dry clean only items in your wash and fold laundry. We cannot take responsibility for any dry clean only items damaged in our wash and fold laundry. Stains: Please leave us a note with any special instructions, including details pertaining to how the stains originated. Although we will do our best to remove any stains we find, we cannot guarantee all stain removal as some stains will never come out. Minimum: There is a order fee for laundry pick-up.
